Alexis M. Westbrook, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of BrownSkinPsych. As an Illinois-based African American psychologist, Dr. Westbrook offers psychological care that recognizes the importance of culture, identity, lived experience, and the whole person.

BrownSkinPsych was created to reduce mental-health stigma and provide adults with thoughtful, collaborative, and culturally informed care. Services are grounded in evidence-based practice while remaining personal, inclusive, and responsive to each client’s individual needs, strengths, and goals.
